Does anyone know how to ship a puppy from CT to NC inexpensively?

Help! My stepson wasn't allowed to take his puppy on the greyhound bus(it's a small dog)to NC and I need to get him his puupy(i live in CT)He was realy disapointed but other than driving there myself(I work so I can't)I can't find any inexpensive way.
