Preventing 9/11 ?

Did you know that a French journalist was detained for 40 hours by the French secret services last week? The reason : he wrote an article a few months ago about a 300-page doent leaked from the same secret services. This doent clearly indicates that the French government warned the American administration, in January 2001, that Al Queda was preparing plane-based attacks. Do you think the journalist derserves to be jailed (what the government wants to do) or applauded for trying to shed light on a rather obscur topic?
