Is rue herb safe to use to anticipate labor?

I have read about the rue herb and I have found out that Rue contains two chemicals that we know have the ability to cause abortion during early pregnancy. Also that Rue can be used to disrupt pregnancy and as an emergency contraceptive. Does anyone know if taking a Rue tea during the 37th week of pregnancy is safe? I know it will cause your water to break and contractions will begin within an hr or so but will it harm the fetus in anyway? I know of someone who did this and her baby was born healthy...
